Hello i would appreciate to not be insulted based my low rating compared to everyone else and for those who in a rush to judge someone when they clearly dont know them.

"hey man, you don't know me but I've been interested in your profile for a while now. from everything you post, you keep up the facade that you're very interested in competitive programming, but from your submission history, it seems like you don't even read the problem statement **** just making sure, this entire thing is a joke right? no offense intended, I'm just curious lol"

Thank you USER: askdfjlas a "Expert" who insults people who are below him this is not needed in the community.

So codeforces you have a policy on this issue of insults i hope you hold this user accountable.

But after i posted i noticed i get ridiculed for pointing this out, so does this platform not recognize low ranked coders, and only hold a special place for high ranking coders ?.. So don't we have a voice or opinion about these issues or are we automatically shut out because we are not ranked well sounds hypocritical to me ?

I am not the best problem solver i make so many mistakes like most programmers out there and solve slower than most i want to improve my problem solving and think more analytically when it comes to Algorithms, Data Structures, Artificial Intelligence, Object oriented syntax, etc.

I want to look at a problem and not psych myself out especially i competition. I know most great programmers go through this stage at least once in their lives. Their are times i am successful solving a solution without the help of google i HATE when i have to refer to google to find tips and ways to solve a particular problem. I get more by solving it myself without any references.

Honestly i didn't start coding till i was a sophomore in college in 2013 when i was 26 in my software engineering program. I am a little late in the game. I should have started when i was very young like all the great programmers where i can absorb more information faster and digest it but i can't turn back time just have to go with it.

Just one of my problems.

I would like to know how to contribute and get involved in the community & be a successful programmer on this site for the new year where should i start and gain more knowledge. I want to be a productive and proactive on this site as possible and maybe make some new friends who knows.

Thank you for any input good or bad.

Hello everyone i am new to codeforces and i have been coding for 4 years primarily using C++ and Java and i currently code on these platforms:

  • Hacker rank
  • Codin game
  • Code forces
  • Code chef

Its been fun and rewarding to collaborate with fellow programmers of all levels and but my problem is how to break into the software industry with minimal experience in the real world only online coding problems.

Ive been told by the leader of Codingame that i am basically useless in the real world which was harsh but i accept the critism of reality. 2016 was the worst year finding a job in the entry level programming in C++ and or Java. i really hope with the near year 2017 is when i make my big break in software and work my way up in the ranks.

Another issue i have is my problem solving is not perfect solving algorithms i usually write out a plan on how i solve a problem and most of the time it works while other times it dont work. I am not the most talented programmer but i work hard to figure out issues within a problem. This is just a simple synopsis of my problems no need to bore with a massive life story

  • Any advise would be gratful positive or negative.
