1000
1100
1200
I am also feeling shame to advice you because my max is also 1099 but as an advice which week points i have and i think it will help you
Link to contest
ok thanks
solving A and B in div 2 is enough to become pupil. For that I will recommend you to solve problems of rating 1200-1300. Generally A is most of the time pretty straight forward and for B it require some little observation which you can practice on these 1200-1300 rating problem.
Thanks a lot, but can you suggest how many problems to solve in a particular difficulty range
the moment you are getting comfortable with this difficulty. It may take 50 problems or 150 problems, totally depends upon you.
Solving A,B In Div2 or A,B,C in Div3 is enough to reach pupil. But with good or average penalty so i suggest learning topics like (Binary-Search, STLS, strings and basic number theory) also solve problems from range 1000 to 1300 or 1400. this should be enough to reach pupil. After that you can jump to more hard topics like (dp, graph, trees etc...) and good luck.
Thanks a lot, but can you suggest how many problems to solve in a particular difficulty range
Like at least 5 problems a day in range 1000 to 1400 if you see that this is becoming easy for you then increase the range. And good luck
practicing is so important but you also must learn new topics and think outside the box. White Board or One note can help you save your ideas and think visually in front of you and get the idea faster.
Thanks a lot
In which of these (B,C,D) problems in contest advanced topics like dp, graphs, trees are used, and are they necessary to be learnt to reach at max specialist.
these topics are one of the most important topics you need. B in Div3 mostly isn't one of these but if you have the basic topics and atleast one of these then you can reach pupil/specialist.
Good luck
To be honest you are the only person who can know what you can improve. Reason for that is because there are many things which could be going wrong. Maybe you cant solve harder problems because you don't know how to think? Maybe you cant solve harder problems because you don't know needed math? Maybe you know how to solve harder problems but you stress out too much on contest? Maybe you have troubles with writing code or maybe troubles with debugging? The issue is that there are many thing which could be going wrong so nobody can give you the best advice.
Observe what are you doing wrong and try to see some patterns in that. After you see these error patterns then try to come up with how you can overcome this weaknesses. The answer may be for example to change how you practice, how you think or change your attitude. And of course, the most important thing, have fun.
Dont just solve easy problems.. after getting comfortable in a range move ahead. And rating will eventually increase try not to focus much on it.
ok thanks a lot
commenting for better reach
Thanks bro
I recommend you to read this blog I read it about 4 months ago and it completely changed my practice strategy
Thanks a lot
