GauravPandey....'s blog

Hello everyone,

I've just started this incredible journey on Codeforces. I have done cp before on Codechef too and have a rank higher than 1500. It's not much, but never mind that. I saw several videos and articles on Quora about how Codeforces is a very good platform to learn CP.

When learning CP, I think the hardest thing is being consistent. Other than that, we get demotivated as we are not able to solve problems and do not know the right thing to do to make things work.

So I think the best way to be consistent is to know what you have done and how far you have reached from the start. So from now on, I am going to post a blog every week about what new things I have learnt this week, not only from Codeforces but from other platforms too.

The thing is, I have a goal to reach and, at this point, I think I am far away from reaching it. So, if anyone has any suggestions on how I can make the most of this platform, please share them with me, as well as what difficulty level (rating) I should start practising at based on my CodeChef rank.

To begin with,

I began dynamic programming today and learned about knapsack (0/1 & bounded & unbounded) problems.

I got this doc file from a youtube channel which told us how to use this platform effectively.   https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JgXpiUzczeUenZT5_zgs2Tuex7woW5D2tXIn1zXNsJY/edit

That's it for now, and I'll see you next week.
