No matter what I do, it always shows "invalid time", I guess maybe I did not set "AM" or "PM" in the time blocks, but how to get it? I cannot find a way to set "AM" or "PM" in the website....

Why not do it as SGU?

http://acm.sgu.ru/vdefine.php

That is very easy to operate, but not codeforces...

Yes, i'm facing the same problem. It's really irritating.. i tried the 24-hr format too. Now when it finally worked, the contest is set to start after 1.5 hrs! I guess it considered relative to server time. But now, there is no option to change the virtual contest time.

that maybe due to timezone issues. try setting the time (when u want to start the virtual contest) as MSK.

    OP quote:

No, a picture of where it is won't tell OP (or me, for that account, because I'm facing the same problem) how to do it.

I do so: click to the "PM" and then switch AM/PM using UP/DOWN arrows.

P.S.: Hmmm.... I did it earlier. But now "PM" disappears after clicking and then I can select hour in 24-hours format. WTF?

Exactly. That's the problem I have. I wonder why use the AM/PM anyways, it's confusing (at least to me, since I've used the 24hr format all my life :D).

You can switch to russian and create the virtual contest, then switch back to english.

This is annoying the heck out of me too. Please fix this, Codeforces team. I usually copy&paste the time I want into the field (including AM/PM), which works.

Copy current time in time box to some text editor, change time, and copy again into time box. It works for me.
