Still unrated!!

Hi, I'm newly registered on CodeForces, solved some problems (about 10) but I'm still unrated. Want to know how to be rated?? Is there like a minimum number of problems that should be solved before being rated or what?? Another thing, I am unable to view the test case which my code failed on, all that I'm able to view is my submitted code. Is that related to me being unrated or is it due to something else??

You should participate in a rated contest :) .

You become rated after participating in a rated contest, which (sadly) has become very rare these days.

    And what kind of contests are termed rated? You can see I'm rated specialist here but when I see myself in contest standing I'm unrated.Why?

      Name colors on the leaderboard are those at the moment of the event (or something like that). Post-contest changes won't affect the colors in the ranking, so next time you participate in a contest, your name will appear cyan regardless of the outcome of the contest.

    yes only because of the fact that rating changes aren't updated once they are done you will get rated :)
