Hello everyone i am new to this site and getting used to the set up and layout not bad solved a few problems. Looks totally different from hacker rank, codin game, and code chef.

I would like to know how to contribute and get involved in the community & be a successful programmer on this site for the new year where should i start and gain more knowledge. I want to be a productive and proactive on this site as possible and maybe make some new friends who knows.

Thank you for any input good or bad.

First of all, get good enough that you can solve questions from fellow programmers. Participate in rounds often, and after the contest, try to exchange your points of view with the other participants. Don't be afraid to make jokes, but don't be rude. Try to solve your problems by yourself, as many people do not like to see in their newsfeed 'easy' or irrelevant questions. Nevertheless, people here love to learn and to solve challenges. Most of the things that you need will flow naturally, as you integrate to this community.

And finally, the most important thing, NEVER ask "Is it rated?" in the blog of a contest if you value your life and your contribution.

Thank you for the tough but fair information i am here to learn i am a programmer with no EGO i take this seriously but i also want to learn and collaborate with others and learn new things and take constructive criticism.

Not here to take advantage i admit my faults and errors when it comes to code. I might make a few irrelevant blogs asking for advise about career choices and how to get there but other than that i am here to code and learn as much as the next programmer out there.

    Thank you.

You're welcome. Nevermind asking, although some people might downvote you, it is more important that you learn than the points you have as contribution. Also, despite the downvotes, someone will always answer your questions.

Whenever you are stuck, try to search for ideas, either from the editorial, comments or through a blog entry. Then, without seeing any code, try to implement those ideas. I think this is the way I have learnt the most.

And remember, the best thing in live is learning and improving your skills!
