Hello everyone.
I was surfing the net looking for information on APIO 2018, but it seems that nothing has been decided about it.
I know that the APIO is held every May, so that doesn't give a lot of time for the organizers to plan the event. Does anybody know anything about it?
I wasn't able to find the hosting country. Do you think that there won't be an APIO this year ?
There is no information about the dataset of apio 2017 yet too i think..
During APIO meeting in IOI 2017, Russia said that they will volunteer to host APIO 2018.
News about APIO (e.g. the official website) does not really correlate with the preparation. Although they have not published the APIO 2018 website yet, it is possible that they are already doing some preparation (e.g. calling for tasks, gathering committees, etc.) as we speak.
I believe Russia is not a country that will run away from its commitment, so I believe there should be an APIO this year.
I sure hope so. But how can they do a call for tasks without publishing it somewhere? And why would they delay hosting the website for so long?
Were there any discussion of making the problem statements and tests open for everyone during the APIO meeting?
