Today is the birthday of William tmwilliamlin168 Lin! Let's celebrate by reviewing his amazing achievements

2018: Wins the Taiwan IOI team selection and gets removed from the winner's list

2019: Banned from TOI, the first round selection.

It's so impressive that it requires the strength of the whole Taiwan to stop him! orz

Can anyone tell me why did William participate as a USA Citizen and not from Taiwan? Why was he banned? Sorry if my question is stupid.
