I don't think you mean the same blogs I mean. There's nothing wrong with asking for help.

I am specifically talking about people who make almost no effort to be helped. I'm not talking about reasonable blogs asking for help.

Here's how not to ask for help. Here's another example. But here's one that's quite nice.

Notice the difference between the first two blogs and the third one? The third person shows that they have put in effort to understand the editorial's solution, and clearly explains what they don't understand. The first two blogs just copy their codes, and comment nothing about them, and expect other people to debug them. The third person even uses Latex and punctuation.

It's okay to show others your code and ask for help, but please, please at least try to explain what everything does. It's incredibly hard to even begin to understand someone else's code, especially given that CP code is written with no regard to style. Understand that when you request help, you are asking for someone else to give up some of their free time and devote it to you. Respect that. You're in no position then to make helping you even harder or demand anything more.

Lastly, the question was "how to get downvotes". And it's true -- most badly written questions get downvotes.
