The ICPC Schedule has said that an update will be posted on May.15 with details which is about the 2020 Regionals. Hope to be a good result...
The following update I received today (2-Dec-2020):
Dear [Name], We are all going through challenging situations. There is uncertainty looming over the globe, especially with the students who are yet to join the college or those who are yet to pass out from the colleges.
The International Collegiate Programming Contest 2020 had to be postponed to 2021, before March. But let us be confident that things will change soon. Let us utilize the time to practice more. Amrita will host the First ICPC Practice Session on the 6th December at 05:30 PM. The contest will be for 1.5 hours, with 3 problems from the past ICPC contests.

From the sources, I get to know. ICPC online round will be in the last week of December. and form will be floated by mid of November for the same. No updates on regionals.

Without the colleges reopening? Wouldn't that be very inconvenient for the participants, collaborating over video conferencing?
Bro, colleges will never reopen.
I believe most of the colleges will reopen by February 2021 (which our college professors are hinting at), and then the qualification rounds will be held as soon as possible

I can bet colleges won't open even on Feb 2021. Sadly this is the new normal.
Here is my college (IIT Kanpur) -
They first said 15 March 2020.
Then they said 29 March 2020.
Then they said 14 April 2020.
Then they said 24 May 2020.
Then they announced close of that semester. No summer term this year.
Then they started the new semester online one month late on 1st Sept 2020 in the hope of offline sem. They said its for just one semester.
Then they announced next semester online as well. Saying we will review the situation in Feb 2020 and decide online/offline upcoming summer semester.
Do you still believe what your profs are hinting rn? They are just proposals right now. No one can say with even 25% probability that they will open in Feb. We don't know what will happen in next month. This is a very bad idea. A lot of pre regionals round have already started online in other parts of the world. Even in those places which didn't even have a concept of the online round.
IIT Kanpur has announced next semester online. For summer intentions are clear we won't call back everyone. Just a few with very high priority to those with pending labs and have completed everything else for graduation.
Regionals have a hard deadline that they should be organised before 31st Dec (It was made 31st March for this year). People need time for planning travel in case of onsite regionals. At least one full month is required regionals to conduct 4 regionals on weekends. 1-2 months notice for people to plan travel.

It kinda suggests that the 2021 WF is planned for March 2022, doesn't it?
So the 2021 World Finals (which should probably be ideally around April 2021) is suggested to be held in March 2022, but is there any information regarding when will the final teams going to the world finals be decided?
I had heard somewhere that by March /April 2021, all the teams going for world finals of 2021 must be decided.
But if the world finals itself will be held in 2022, does that mean, the regional qualifying contests will be even more delayed?

When ICPC will be re-scheduled you'll come to know. Just check the blog section once in a day or two, people(who get to know earliest) will share the dates over there.

At this moment we don't know anything about the other 3 regionals.

Contest date written is 16th March and registrations are open till 30th April. How is this possible?
That's a typo on icpc website. Correct date in there on Amrita website which is May 16.
Amrita will host the 2020 Regional contest that was cancelled because of the pandemic, in May 2021. Both the Preliminary Round & Regional Round will be held online on CODEDRILLS platform.
Preliminary Round: May 16; 2.5 hours duration. Registration to start on March 1 on Baylor System and ends on April 30. There is no Registration fee to participating in the Preliminary Online Round.
Regional Round: May 30; 5 hours duration. Teams will be promoted after the Preliminary Online Round.
