      You're a bit quick to blame ratism for downvotes. I'd guess most of your downvotes come from a thought process like this:

      Some guy posted a troll comment. I did not like the troll comment (because I was probably trolled by it). Somebody else posted a comment saying the troll comment was cool/good/whatever. I disagree so I'm going to downvote that as well.
