I think it should be called "Good Riddance 2020", because it has truly been an unprecedentedly ugly year for most of us.

Anyone has a better idea for a name to bid farewell to this year?

I think you all people are under-estimating 2021. It will be the upgraded version of 2020. I don't want it to be like that though. Hoping for the best

You Became a Candidate master (from Expert) though! Congrats! I think this year has taught us to be more grateful for things we have, than any year in the past so we should rather be grateful for the things we have and not waste our time on naming stuffs .

I know 2020 has been an absolute shitfest in the real world, but I want to bring to attention the good stuff that's happened with CP specifically :)

Off the top of my head:

  • CP has become more popular than ever before (just look at contest participation numbers on CF).
  • CodeChef got revamp in problem quality with new coordinators (probably has nothing to do with COVID but still happened in 2020).
  • Streaming and YouTube really blew up this year! More tutorials and resources for everybody.

Feel free to add to this list with comments.

    • Most of the colleges revealed their true nature by showing how they don't give a flying f*ck about how you might be affected by COVID and still charged full fees.
    • The world is now more aware about it's inefficient medical facilities and will surely improve in future.
    • Seeing IT sector not get affected much by COVID makes me feel happy and safe. At least there's job security in this sector.

    and my personal favorite :

As a high school senior in the US applying right now, that first point about colleges is too true D:

Petition to delete this blog . Already a similar blog is made and does the blog writer really thinks it will be renamed ? It was terrible year in terms of Covid but many good things happened too .
