Serious doubt! Literally every post created by low level coders I find in the community section is full of negative votes (negative support) where as the sole purpose of having a community and discussion forum is to encourage new comers to put up their doubts, and get guidance. Don't we all want to contribute towards a healthy supportive community? At least, let's not demote genuine posts, it maybe a small mischievous act for us, but for the author of the blog, it means a lot. When people post their genuine doubts here, and all we get is dislikes, it created a negative impression about this community and often people decide to quit from here which I believe is bad for us :(

I don't know man. I am usually reading those blogs, try to be helpful and give some hints. Sometimes authors appreciate my help and give me thumbs up and after two hours I see that my comment have 0 votes again. I mean: what the hell? How toxic you need to be to down vote someone that helped newbie with theirs problem?

I've observed people here in codeforces don't have their own opinion they follow the crowd. If you are somehow able to get 10 — 20 likes initially everyone will most likely like your post if you get a few dislikes initially everyone gonna dislike. I've seen two people doing the exact same post and one got a lot of likes and the other got a hell lot of dislikes. That's where followers help, if you have many followers (friends) you will get those initial 10-20 likes and after that, the whole crowd will like.

So basically don't focus on these likes dislike things, just ignore it. ( Just like I'll do after having a lot of dislikes in this comment).

It's hard for the first time, but once you learn ignoring you will be happy. Not talking about codeforces only, talking in general. You should not give privilege to others to make you sad.

Thing is don't be happy if someone approves you, you will automatically not be sad if they disapprove. Ofcourse constructive criticism is good but 90% of time you will just get taunt in the name of constructive criticism.
