(This post is mostly for Russian people, but I added the translation anyway).

Guys, I think that many of you are horrified by the ongoing events and want to do something to stop the war.

If you are from Russia then you can sign the petition https://www.change.org/p/остановить-войну-с-украиной-2ce0a2d7-b957-4e23-981a-c67a26e2b0b7?source_location=discover_feed

If you have some connection with science then you can sign an open letter of Russian scientists https://trv-science.ru/2022/02/we-are-against-war/

Of course, this will not stop the war immediately, but it may help. Moreover, it is not a hard thing for you to do.

Share links to useful initiatives if you know any.

The russian government, i.e. a single man, won’t change his mind for a petition, but it may start like that. And when the ball starts to roll down, it does it so quickly. ‘Ceausescu effect’, someone calls it. Maybe many people on this site were not born yet. It starts with an unexpected booing from down the square, during what was supposed to be another made up show to support the regime, an unprecedented booing getting louder and louder. Shocked face of the dictator and his wife, like wtf… and 4 days after, on 25th December, they were shot. 4 days.

All my support to Ukraine heroes resisting and to all Russian people willing to act for peace and freedom.
