I need some help regarding codeforces contest. When i solve problems during regular practice sessions i am able to solve about 1400-1500 problems atleast 80% of them without having to take help and in reasonable time. But when i give contests of codeforces somehow i cannot even solve B.I have taken some breaks now and then from codeforces due to same reason. On the other hand i perform okayish at leetcode contest ie solving 3-4 regularly in reasonable time.I really want to do cf but i get demotivated and frustated on seeing my performance on codeforces. My codeforces rating -> 1000, leetcode rating — (1900-1950)usually. Please give any piece of advice you can/want.

Some cool advices to perform better!

  • Stay relax while giving contest / don't get tensed. (Very Imp.)
  • Don't ever see Standings until you feel you're done. (Very Imp.)
  • Remove the fear of loosing the rating (It's just a number enjoy problem solving). (Very Imp.)
  • Try solving as much problem as you can during the contest. (Very Imp.)
  • Give virtual contests to boost up your speed. (Very Imp.)
  • Try upsolving next one or two problems that you were unable to solve in the contest. (very Imp.)

Sometime we loose that "enjoying part" due to constant bad Contests

Don't loose hope, let these contests to be bouncers, just wait for the free hit or the ball you like to hit a 6.
