Rating Roll Back

I absolutely tanked the last div1 + div2, dropping to candidate master. But the ratings are temporarily rolled back, so does this mean my participation in this current contest (div 2) is unrated even after ratings come back?

They came back and it turned out to be unrated for us (similar situation here). Is this an error.. round made unrated for us just because of cheaters in previous round? Tagging MikeMirzayanov

Round being rated for you doesn’t make any sense. Because your registration was marked as unofficial 1 hr before the contest and the start of the contest and even continuing till the end of contest. Consider another person in the position as you who just makes a wrong submission on F.

    The opposite case happened in Codeforces Round 843 (Div. 2), ratings weren't updated for previous round and ratings after the update for previous round were considered for eligibility purposes (it was made unrated for many users who reached master in previous contest). Also, I don't see why anyone would risk just making one wrong submission if they know they're doomed to be cm through previous round, given that the previous thing has happened before.

      Clearly my opinion is in the minority but I do believe that if your participation in the participants list was always shown as unofficial, irrespective of any other elements, you shouldn’t be losing or gaining points
