How do people downvote you for that? Crazy...

There needs to be a small penalty to downvoting to prevent toxic people from spamming downvotes.

Because encouraging a person to give up their dream is stupid

It's a damn joke. You think Levi from attack on titan would ever say "give up on your dreams"? It's a sentence taken out of context for fun. If you don't like it then don't upvote...

Leetcode has a much better reputation system where if you downvote you have a very small penalty on your own reputation. That way you only use the downvote if something is offensive or completely wrong.

Look at my contribution, I got that by suggesting in my blog that there should be more ranks towards the lower end, especially in newbie-specialist range. Somehow I hurt the community and have a negative contribution while I spent my precious time making a suggestion, insane!

Telling anyone to quit is not fun. It can cause more damage than you can even imagine.

Maybe I wouldn't insist so much on this specific meme if I hadn't had a bad experience myself. Even though I found the meme funny and not to be taken seriously. But honestly I tried to benefit the community and ended up with negative contribution. That makes me feel like the contribution system needs some adjustments. You shouldn't drop below 0 contribution for proposing an idea, even if it's a bad idea.

"But honestly I tried to benefit the community and ended up with negative contribution"

How did you expect to benefit the community by supporting a comment that literally said "This is a joke but you should give up on your dreams"?

You are just fooling yourself. Practicing 800 rating questions will not make you any stronger. Giving up and Not improving yourself is one and the same thing.

Tbh I don't think solving for the sake of keeping the streak is worth it. Most of the problems you solve are 800-900 difficulty which takes you like 5 minutes. Solving problems a little bit harder than your current ability is what would push you further, even if you can only solve them 1 a day

For expert you need to solve all but last 2 problems in div 3, or solve C in div 2. div 2 C often falls into the rating range of [1300;1700]. So if can solve A, B quickly and a 1600 problem in an hour you are good to go

I am comfortable with a range of difficulties. I usually solve around 1400-1700. But sometimes I have difficulty coming up with observations for elementary problems(around 1000-1300). But I can easily solve them but in contests I sometimes face difficulties. It leads to inconsistent performance in contests.

you should raise the ratings of the problems you solve, not the numbers.

My graph basically looks like a frying pan with a weird handle. Actually before this account I had another account shenzhentong and I'm stuck at Pupil for around a year or something. I ditched Codeforces for some time before comimg back, so there comes the frying pan part lol

btw how the hell did you manage to get a bit of positive delta every recent contest??? this is ridiculous. Maybe this is a sign of steady improvement. But this is too alien.
