Hi All,
First thanks to MikeMirzayanov & .o. for preparing a Good Bye contest but I like the Idea of making it for both divisions competing at the same problem set so it will be like a party and we all competing to each others.
what do you think ?
UPD Thanks now Good Bye 2014 will be for both divisions

BTW, div1+div2 round usually means "you can get very huge rating boost if you'll perform above average". It would be nice way to end the year for those who care about rating:)

Also means "you can get very huge loss if you'll fail a bit". ;)

P.S. In these kind of rounds, coding speed is very important!

you can get very huge loss

While you'll have -100 or a bit more even for last place — even with yellow rating you can gain much higher improvement with good performance; and for violet/blue users something like +250..+300 is quite possible:)

This can be amended by multiplying resulting rating changes by some coefficent, like 0.5 as it is sometimes done in specific chess contests etc...

Hi, I'm the author of Good Bye 2014. I was curious about whether the contest is going to be division-integrated or not, and asked Zlobober about that. He said that in his opinion, division-integrated round was not a good idea because "it makes harder to keep contest interesting for Div1 contestants as well as for Div2". I totally agree with his view, and it seems to be decided to separate divisions.

However, as there are so many people who wants this round to be Div1+Div2, we will consider again. Thanks for your post! :D

Please do consider. Div1+Div2 rounds are awesome, and it would be a great way to end this year.

It's nice to see improvements on Codeforces — all 4 upcoming contests are going to be rated for Div.1! What a nice surprise!

Please keep them apart. I don't like joining them, especially when they are longer than usual. This causes score distribution to be ridiculous. If you want to know my point you can read about it here: http://codeforces.com/blog/entry/14102 . Moreover I don't think that there is much of rivalry between red and blue guys. And failing one simple task, because of some stupid bug/random TLE can cause fall from 50th place to 700th, that pretty sucks.

Man I just don't get the idea of voting system of CF :
The guy says don't separate them gets a lot of positive votes while the other guy says separate them he also gets a lot of upvotes. How to understand this ?

Do you think It is possible that maybe.. just maybe not everyone on codeforces thinks the same way?
