i think it will be great if when we finish a virtual contest we know how our rating( score ) would change , this feature has a lot of benefits 1- give new contestants confidence so that before competing in a ranked contest we can try ourselves and see how would our score change , this will be more virtual than just our rank on the contest (you are the 2000 on this contest but you don't know how would your score change )

2- if you left training for a while , you will need to warm up and test to make sure you are up to a real contest

Vote Up if you believe this will be a great feature ++

what do you think MikeMirzayanov ?

I ran into that same problem and calculated a formula that gives you the rating corresponding to your performance. It can't give you the exact rating change but it provides a nice feeback :)

Coincidentally I wrote the post about this formula yesterday, results are in the final part of the post.

Why always from Grays, Greens and Blues we can see this kind of blogs? I mean rating is interesting only to them?

I don't think that others need something like this. Because, I know some of them and they participate in contests in order to learn something new.

And finally, If you participate in order to learn something new, and you spit to rating, you don't need:
1. confidence before participating in a real contests. Because, after participating in some real contests you will feel that confidence.
2. Warming up before real contests. Because, You spit to rating and you don't need to warm up before real contests. You are participating in order to learn something new and if the time is not enough to solve problems that are challenging to you, you know that you can solve them after contest.

I think that the only real benefit that we can take from contests is to solve problems that are challenging to us.

It would be funny if they add this feature but with standard "2 or 3 hour delay" like in regular contest.
