Details

The championship will consist of a qualification round, two online-rounds and the final round that will take place in Moscow in the CROC company office. The final round is not only for Moscow residents, but the trip to the CROC Headquarters is organized and paid for by finalists.

The schedule of the Championship stages is as follows (UTC):

  • April 3-4, from 08:00, April 3 to 08:00 April 4 — the qualification round (Internet), top 1000 contestants advance to the first round,

Also, on April 27, a AI-game round will take place before the final round. The author of the best algorithm will be awarded by a valuable prize.

If several contestants get the same number of points in any round and are placed on advancement cutoff, all of them advance to the next round. In all rounds a competitor must get a positive score to advance to the next round. All rounds require individual registration (separate from the championship registration), which ends 5 minutes before the round start (except for Qualification Rounds, which will be open for registration till the end of the rounds).

Most rounds will be opened for unofficial (out of championship) participations for everyone as rated Codeforces rounds.

Participating in the qualification round is obligatory to participate in the championship.

The elimination online rounds and the Championship finals will be held based on the Codeforces project by the original Codeforces rules. Please make sure to read the rules beforehand.

You will be offered the following programming languages:

  • С/С++
  • Delphi/Pascal
  • Java
  • С#

  • Perl
  • Scala

Because of really different performance of different programming languages we do not guarantee that any problem can be solved on each language.

The contestants will be offered interesting programming problems. If you haven't solved such problems before, here are some examples of Codeforces contest problems:

No :( It is a pilot Championship, but contestants have a chance to win money or Mac Books. Not too bad!

but the problems will be in Russian and English

It would be strange, if English statements are available, but non-russian users are not allowed.

    Besides there is statement:

The final round is not only for Moscow residents, but the trip to the CROC Headquarters is organized and paid for by finalists.

So, I think answer is "Yes they can"

They are allowed, but you may have difficulties with registration and reading some additional materials (if any). Also I believe it is not easy (impossible?) to organize trip to Moscow in a week.

Also, can I participate "out of competition" if I don't register at the official website?
