New Rating System on CodeChef

I love the revamped look of the site and the new rating system which is pretty similar to CodeForces and TopCoder. I also like that they combined the ratings of Long Contests (Challenges) and Short Contests (Cook-offs and Lunchtimes) to form an overall rating and rank, while also maintaining separate ranks (country and global) for each of them.

The new rating system is really cool. The first thing I checked after seeing the new interface is that if they have also provided an option to change the username. Then I remember they said that is not in their priority list for quite sometime.

      He was informing that such option doesn't exist yet as per now. Reason being it isn't the part of the priority list. :)

But thay have removed the green, yellow or red color to the problems attempted during contest.I feel that was motivating to solve more problems

    The feature wasn't removed intentionally but got overlooked while revamping the pages. It will be back soon.

Old Codechef rating changes very slowly. Codeforces rating changes really drastically. TopCoder/AtCoder ratings are somewhere in-between, if you are a newcomer they change a lot, but they gradually converge.

Now Codechef rating converges faster!

After seeing the changes, I decided to start participating again!
UPD: Goodies pushed me further.
Wow! there are lot of good changes in codechef since I last used.

Still ratings are not updated for long contest.
It would be nice if ratings are updated within an hour after the contest

    Codechef is really slow when it comes to updating ratings.
    It usually takes anytime between 4-7 days for the process to complete.
