Topic specific CONTESTS

Isn't it a great idea to have some topic specific "rated" rounds where all five questions will be related to same topic. This will help everyone to grind on a particular topic before the contest. As of now, we are not sure which topic related questions will be asked in the contest, so we try to practice everything ending up mastering in nothing. This idea can help the beginners a lot. Atleast we can hope for some div.3 rounds like that :)

good idea but make the contests unrated, something like how atcoder's educational dp contest worked

I totally agree with you. Such contests should be held at least once in a month. Atcoder DP contest is a great example.
