Because it's awkward to handle a DoS attack on codeforces site and debug the solution for problem E at the same time.

    Anyways that's good enough,I saw that he gave one contest on Hackerrank(in another blog). I guess he is too busy working on the systems(or problems) to take part on CF.

I think Mike sometimes helps problem testers test their rounds and gives feedback regarding difficulty ... (He did participate in the testing of my round too). So, he indeed does participate in Codeforces rounds, just not officially

people participate to improve their skills in coding and such topics ...HE is the creator of this platform and Polygon..I don't think he needs to prove any other thing. PLUS, he is involved with VOVUH in making some great DIV3 contests..I guess you will understand.
