Bug in Codeforces rating changes?

After the recent educational round 102 which should have been unrated for me as I was a master (2161) during the round, I was shocked to find out that my rating had dropped 221 points! I think there is a bug in the rating changes. Is this a common mishap that has happened before or is there anyone else who has suffered the same? Please let me know on how to get this problem fixed and hopefully this does not happen to anyone else in the future!

Update : It has been 10+ days and 2 contests have gone by as well but still the ratings of those affected haven't been rectified. I'm tagging MikeMirzayanov so that this issue is brought into light again! I'm also not sure if I should take part in contests as it might make it harder to change my rating back.

Seems like the educational round taught you a lesson.

But that's too bad, hopefully an admin fixes this! I'm really surprised this happened.

Thanks, we will fix it soon. I think it happened because I re-calculated ratings in 695 (handled cheaters) and processed ER 102 at the same time.

    Thanks a lot! Is it okay for the people facing this problem to participate in today's Div 2 contest or should we wait untill this problem is resolved?

      Sadly it doesn't look like its going to be fixed :( Just have to move on and gain our ratings back i guess. I really didn't expect this would happen :(

As I know this happens because you registered to the contest while you are candidate master, but before contest itself you become master. So technically you are master, but system counts you as candidate master.

    That's usually the case, but I think it wasn't this time. Educational Round 102 was 6 days after the last Div 2, so registration for the round probably wasn't opened when the ratings from the previous round were updated. But, as Mike said, probably something similar to that happened — the ratings for the Educational Round were updated while the ratings from Round 695 were recalculated, so the rating changes for the round were rolled back.
