What are your views about using the book Guide to Competitive Programming: Learning and Improving Algorithms Through Contests (pdf — book) as a refence book while preparing for International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI).

If you know some other good books, please recommend in the comments.

Thank you.

I think Competitive Programming 4 (Book 1) would be a good reference for IOI considering how well the IOI teams trained by the main author (Dr Steven Halim) do every year (4 IOI medals is a nearly a yearly affair).

Also, this book has gone through many iterations of revisions and auditing by international readers.

Thus, I think it is likely to help you in your IOI quest.
