    I suspect that it might be just technically challenging to recompute rating score changes for a contest that happened so long ago due to something like a "butterfly effect". Rating score affects eligibility for participation in div1/div2/div3 contests. It may turn out that a bunch of people happened to participate in wrong contests after round #705.

    If MikeMirzayanov didn't address this issue back then and nobody bothered to remind him when it was still not too late, then it's already an ancient history. We can forget about it and move on. After all, rating scores keep updated after each contest and gravitate towards the "real skill" if people keep participating in many contests. One wrong judgement in one of the older contests isn't going to significant affect the current rating score in the long run.
