Hypocrite Youtuber caught cheating!!

Recently, there has been a lot of discussion centered around cheating. While there are many people who are proactively advocating to stop cheating, some of them are cheaters themselves. One such issue cropped up today during the April Lunchtime. The person in question who also happens to be a Youtuber, running a Youtube channel named "Quarantine Engineers", with around 6.5K subs, has been proactively saying/spreading words about not cheating during contests and giving them honestly. During the contest (April Lunchtime) this guy's solutions happen to coincide with another guy’s solutions who is also from his college (NSIT, Delhi). The account on which the copied submission is made, is used by this guy to make videos/editorials after contests. Such is the audacity and hypocrisy of these people who on one hand go around criticizing people for cheating and on the other hand cheat themselves on their own account which they use to make video editorials. I am attaching the proofs as well. His Codeforces account is kassutta (Mihir Singh). The other involved person is Brother_mohit (Mohit Yadav).

Edit: This guy has claimed in a community post (after this blog was put up) that he has not cheated before. Whereas he is a habitual cheater. How about a few more incidents involving Not_So_Cool (bhavya rustgi, NSIT again) and kassutta for September Challenge 2020. Both have the same points as well. I feel sorry for his Youtube community, who are learning at the hands of a cheater. I'm sure if we dig deeper there will be many more incidents of cheating involving him.

I am linking two solution pairs below. As you can see, these guys have made subtle changes in their code to avoid getting detected and flagged. However, a human eye can see that both the solutions are the same. Its just that they have reorganized the codes (moving parts of code to functions, replacing a set of if statements with equivalent if statements) and are actively trying to hide the fact that they copied with each other. While it is true that many people cheat, but this guy is running a youtube channel and has an active community of people watching him. Moreover, he cheats on the same account he uses in his video. Such incidents need to be called out publicly because the community, at the very least, deserves to know who is authentic and who is not.

Admin these one day accounts are being created for this purposes either to push a narrative or to demolish a good narrative by downvoting in bulk, if you care to put blog on some topic then put it from your original id, that can only prove that your telling the truth as you would have some stake in the game and using these one problem solved accounts and giving yourself a title of a cheat buster.

    he might be his friend or someone he knows .And doesn't wants to reveal his Identity And I agree there are some You tube Channels which Post Solutions For Ongoing Contests! That's Why Yesterday around 3k solved 5 ques. in Codechef April Lunchtime !

    Haha, on one hand you go around condemning cheating and on the other hand, you are cheating yourself, that too on the same account you use on your channel. Dude you are running a Youtube channel, you have a community, show some responsibility and have some shame.

    Kudos to you really, you admit sending someone your code during contest in that post, and then say that "there was no cheating". I would say that, even discussing the problems with your friend, when the contest was still ongoing, is already cheating.

And please bet somewhere else you will get profit from it, I gave the truth to the community now it's their part of how do they take it.         he solved problem 4th for 100 points then I asked him how and he couldn't explain so i asked him to send his code then I will analyze it myself

        Asking for solution during contest is not cheating? Are you really this dumb or just pretending to be one?

          I said I was done with my contest so was discussing with him, it is cheating if I am asking solution and submitting it by changing the syntax to gain points.

        now I saw his code and copy pasted a function and tried some cases and submitted it to check if that thing works to remove TLE(but remember I have done this after the contest was over and I tried 3-4 times but couldn't get anything). So I noticed today that one of the submission made by me for testing the code was mistakenly done during the last 5-10 seconds of the contest thinking that the contest is over and now i am submitting in practice mode

        I'm not sure if you telling the truth or not but this just sounds absurd, literally the beside the submit button you can see if it's 'practice' or not. And you didn't even notice the timer is running? Weird.

    I'll explain how you got only 60 pts in that question despite copying it from Brother_mohit. It was because there was very less time left on the clock and like 1 or 2 mins and you were trying to remove the moss(plagiarism) hence you used your code for that was working for 60 pts and tried to use the else condition so that for all the cases where you got tle it would work on it. Anyone can check that the dfs2 functions exactly coincide in both the codes and the else part of kassutta coincides with the main part of the other code. It was merely due to lack of time that despite copying the exact code you weren't able to get full 100 pts.

    Truly, Indian cheaters in CP are like Russian cheaters in Olympics. Both really annoying, except that Olympics has prizes while this has no stakes.

    Brother, your country is banned from Olympics and next World Cup because thousands of Russian athletes were caught cheating. Does that mean we should shame your whole country for this? Cheaters are from everywhere. You are a master on cf so i think you understand that given India's population, it's obvious that the number of cheaters would be more.

    And here, they will gain nothing out of cheating because if most of them want to join a big tech company then they will be rejected in the interview process themselves, neither they will reach ICPC Finals or win Google Code Jam but your country was embarrassed at a much higher scale in from of whole world when the stakes were so high.

You know that feeling when you go through the metal detector gate in the airport? Or when you leave a shop and there are some detectors too, which would raise the alarm if you stole something.

I have the same feeling when seeing a title like "hypocrite youtuber caught cheating". I know I did nothing wrong but it's still scary to click.

    The only people capable enough to help you to cheat are already competing for their own place in the top ranks. It's a paradoxical situation. You can never cheat, even if you tried.

I still don't know as to why they are cheating themselves ? If it is to get a good rating to show off to a recruiter or something , then its a total waste of time. I got a good SDE role even though i am a newbie lol.

I think the blog owner has just been introduced to programming and he considers two programs as same if they are written in same language . Let me know how do you find submission of Chef and Sums same .

Secondly for Divide and Candies , most of the programmers did the same way using hard coding + if conditions . Its not only me . But I think you are new to programming so you wont be able to find a difference .

I know both kassutta ( Mihir ) and Bhavya. They love cp and have huge respect for contests. Yes, I agree, there was some mistake , you can check community post on his youtube channel where he explained, and why will he do cheating ?

To increase rating ? No, I have seen many times that he leaves next problems to make videos on solutions and if you check the timing of his videos, it is published after contest only.

kassutta In the blog post you said that "ur contest was over 30 mins before the time so you started discussing with others", so I'm just curious what happens during long challenges that are 10 days long, you can't hold your patience for 30 mins how do you do it for 10 days then or again ur contest gets over within the first 2 hrs after that you can discuss with anyone you wish to, right? And as evident by your youtube community post that's justified as well as that doesn't qualify as cheating. You got one hell of a definition of cheating mate.
