For a year or two there seems to be less div 1 rounds available, and it seems there is only one more in May. Will there be another div 1 round?

AtCoder holds an ARC (rated for $$$\leq 2799$$$) every week.
Why can't Div. 1.5 be held also on Codeforces? They seem to be easier to make, hence they could be held more frequently than current Div. 1.
Is Div. 1.5 speedforces? I don't think so. I've never solved a div1D or upper during a contest, so I think that an interesting competition for yellows and lower reds can be made without problems as difficult as current div1E/F.

shouldn't yellows and lower reds train to solve 1D then, rather than hoping for a contest where they can solve more approachable problems?

And btw, you say that you haven't solved any 1D ever. This means that writing div2 contests (which are frequent) is good for you? (since they have problems up-to level 1C (sometimes 1D).

It's not hoping for a contest with more approachable problems. It's hoping for more rated contests.
Div. 1.5 could be a compromise because it contains div1D and easy div1E.

i don't get it.... even div2 rounds contain div1D in the form of 2F. And div1E is extremely hard (>2800 rate most of the time which even deep reds can't touch).

So what's the problem with writing div2 for you? (other than the fact that you won't get rating)

Atcoder does not hold an ARC every week. In fact, Codeforces held 8 div1 rounds in the last three months. 3 in April, 3 in March and 2 in February. In the same time period Atcoder also held 8 rounds that were either ARC or AGC.

Oops, that's right. Since I'm new to AtCoder and I saw ABC on Saturday and ARC on Sunday for 3 weeks in a row, I thought that ARC/AGC was every week.
Still, making Div. 1.5 should be easier (in fact, some recent Div. 2 would be already suitable for Div. 1.5, otherwise it would be enough to add a problem of div1D/E level).

Lets say you have a Div. 1.5 implemented, but how much upper bound of the rated range do you expect it to be ?

Approximately the rating of the hardest problem.

I mean usually a div2F is around 2500 and above.

Do you mean the round would be rated for people < 2600 ?

              Ok, maybe that's too much.
Idea: since a Div. 2 or Div. 1.5 may become speedforces for higher rated participants, multiply each rating change by $$$\min(1, \max(0, \frac{h-p}{h-k}))$$$, where $$$k = 2100$$$, $$$h =$$$ rating of the highest problem, $$$p =$$$ rating of the participant.

You could have just given me a number for rated range upper bound lol.

But then, just like ARC, we would need to have a lowerbound too, and I dont see it worth anyways to keep it lower than < expert.

ARC has no lower bound at the moment (?)

Oh ok, nvm, that was my bad. I got into AGC lowerbound.

Well, there are no other div2 rounds in the schedule either. Though I believe they will appear later.
