Caffeine and l-theanine (basically the stuff in green tea) seems to noticeably improve my performance but I have never used any of the harder stuff like amphetamines (which Erdős is a well known user of).

Just wondering if anybody have done experiments on this before. For example, do some rounds on one account while on whatever drugs and do some rounds clean on another alt, then compare the performances. I feel like CF rating converges fast enough that it'll probably be a somewhat reliable benchmark?

Anyone have any anecdata?

I haven't tried to scientifically measure it, but I find that if I consume caffeine regularly then I build a tolerance to it and feel about the same as when I wasn't using it. The way caffeine works is like debt. You feel more active immediately then you crash later. Personally, I think it's not worth it.

I personally take a small dose of creatine monohydrate every day. I don't know if it helps with cf ratings, but it helps you build muscles.

I take creatine for lifting too but didn't know it does anything for your brain. It sometimes gives me really bad headaches (I think from dehydration). That risk alone will make me avoid it before any mind sports. :(
