I have noticed that in the current months the frequency of div2, div3 contests have been reduced drastically. I request Codeforces to kindly organise more and more contests in the coming time. More contests help us to improve our logics , it helps us to solve more learn more and eventually grow more. More and more contests are necessary to make Cp interesting. If you agree with my idea kindly support this post by upvoting!

I don't know about others. But for me more rated contests is necessary. But you also have to understand it's not always easy to arrange contests

Will you please count how many contests I haven't given in the first 6-7 months in this year and give the number?I didn't participate in a contest since 1 month because I am suffering from extreme depression and anxiety and I am continuously seeing my psychologist. There are stories that you don't know just by looking at recent stats.

In my opinion codeforces should have 2 div3 contest in every month. I think it easy to set a div 3 contest than div 2 contest.

It's such a pity for me that I tried saying the same thing here but got heavily downvoted.

If you are so upset, go and make a contest by yourself.

Or use virtual participation. Is ~1000 contests not enough for you?

I don’t know about others, but vc is nowhere near to real contest for me. I have no mood for any practice these days, but contest(especially on codeforces) is always like the best holiday for me. Also vcs don’t have codeforces style, only ICPC is available, and have no systesting.

LOL bro ... you can say this as your rating is above 2100. For us who are still struggling to become a division 1 participant a rated contest is invaluable.

Go and practice. You don't need rated contests to practice.

As you can see, I became master from CM just in 4 contets, but it took me ~9 months. This is just because I have just practiced in solving tasks. Solving real contests is just for rating and fun. It has nothing to do with your practicing.

As the others already mentioned, there's no way to practice anti-FST countermeasures without participating in real rated contests.

You haven't denied/confirmed when people asked you about having multiple accounts, so I'm not sure if looking at the stats of this particular account of yours will tell us anything useful. I can only see that you are one of those mysterious people, who stay at the bottom of their color band (see the rating distribution plot) and don't participate in rated contests. Do you recommend the others to follow your example?

I have solved not only CF tasks. I prefer to train at some real Olympiads, upsolving, for example, Open Olympiad in Informatics (russian), Technocup, or Belarusian OIs. In our country we also have many local contests and trainings. Also there are some russian sites with tasks, like acmp.ru

These "mysterious" people, as you say, are just people who solve not only CF tasks, but many others.

My comment was a response to your claim that you

I became master from CM just in 4 contets, but it took me ~9 months. This is just because I have just practiced in solving tasks.

This can be interpreted as if you had only 4 rated contests in 9 months and a lot of practice. So I replied that just looking at your CF account stats, we are unlikely to see the whole story. Now you confirm that your CF account indeed doesn't show the whole story, and this was my point.

You are promoting the idea that rated contests are not important and can be substituted by just a lot of practice. But you are not being entirely honest about this.

Well, almost all my other trainings not from CF were IOI-styled.

And about me standing at the bottom of my color. I practically haven't solved tasks from June 2020, because I am no longer a school student, but a university student, and I think that there is now time to prepare for a good job. I participate in ICPC now just for fun, practically without any trainings. So I've reached my color and then almost stopped participating in contests. It is just a coincidence.

You can do virtual contest regularly. But if you want to do just real contest,Then follow a cp calendar or this to find contest of other sites.thus you can perticipate almost daily in any real contest!

I don't understand the reason behind creating such blogs after every contest (except farming contribution) or whenever there is a gap of more than 4 days in an upcoming contest.

After a day or two after publishing such blogs, some edu or div3 pops up on the sidebar and there is no correlation, please stop posting stupid blogs.

One week gap is okay to practice and upsolve and if you want to learn or practice there are many other sites, codeforces gym, old contests on codeforces.

Even with that codeforces is one of the websites with most frequent contests.

Let's think about what could be causing less frequent contests.

Is it a shortage of proposals? No, not really. The queue is well known to be pretty long at the moment, which is why the requirement to be an author was tightened. There's still plenty of queued proposals.

Is it a shortage of coordinators? No, not really. I even became a coordinator recently, and the list is pretty long. Maybe coordinators on average became busier recently, hard to say.

Is it because preparing a contest is a very lengthy process and it's hard to predict the amount of time it'll take, especially when problems are rejected and must be replaced? Yes, this is the main reason I think. Because there's not a lot of control over how long it takes, there can be short periods of time where there are fewer contests than average. If you see a longer trend, like many months in a row, then maybe there's a real issue.

Maybe another factor is the time of year. Many people have started school recently, are preparing for ICPC contests, etc. I've heard of issues with a national Chinese exam recently, and this caused many Chinese authors to become extremely busy.

But from what I can tell, it's just temporary.

FFS.

I've said this before — preparing contests requires serious work. I'm sure people at Codeforces are working as hard as they can to frequently deliver quality contests. To me your post comes off as somewhat demanding. Like do you think that people have simply forgotten about writing contests? I mean you are not paying for these contests or anything.

Also I like how people asking this are always Div 2 and often Div 3. You guys realize that you get three times more contests than us? Also there is much more content on other sites too, that is oriented towards the lower levels.

Some people are just egocentric. Then they wonder why their posts get downvoted.

Excuse me, a clone and a 5-month-old account demand more contests? Grow up and stop acting like a spoiled kid.
