Contests Becoming More Sparse On Weekends

Hey Codeforces!

In the past, Codeforces would hold many of their contests on the weekend. But this month, I've observed that contests are happening less and less on weekends.

In fact, the past 9 contests have all been held on weekdays. The last contest to be held on a weekend was Codeforces Round 692 (Div. 1, based on Technocup 2021 Elimination Round 3), on December 20, 2020.

In addition, the next two contests (Round #698 and Educational Round #103) are scheduled (once again) not on the weekend. So that makes 11 weekday contests in a row.

Now, weekday contests aren't inherently bad, but many users aren't able to make contests on the weekdays, whether it be due to school, work, or simply being busy during the weekdays.

Is there a reason for the lack of recent weekend contests? Is Codeforces purposely avoiding weekend contests? Do weekend contests conflict too much with other online judges? Is this a ploy to decrease participation so rounds won't become unrated?

Is this all just a notorious coincidence?
