Topcoder Applet not working properly in Linux Mint

Hi All, Can anyone guide me as to how to make Topcoder applet work properly in Linux Mint ? Everytime I am trying to go into any of the SRMs , it is getting stuck on the Loading screen. I am using openjdk version 1.8 and tried with 1.11 as well and iced-tea webstart.

It seems that practice rooms with old competitions are not available lately. Try the recent ones.
