How about the countries?

This post is totally not about complaining - I think this is the fastest growing and best performing online cometition website recently and I do appreiate all the effort put in it. I simply want to give a few proposals for functionality that can be added to it. 

It is not really a neccessity but it would be nice to have the coders grouped by countries. What I want to be able to do is to view the list of coders in code forces registered for a given country ordered by rating and add some of them as my friends. Having country rating is also nice.

Of course it's a good idea, just like it is done in TopCoder. But I think it will be a little bit complicated: if you look at the registration form at TopCoder, the fields for name, surname, country and country to represent are obligatory. But in order to register at CodeForces, specifying just a username, password and an e-mail (possibly fake) is enough, and far not all people have entered their countries in their profile settings. So, if CodeForces is going to implement this feature, they will have to send a request to all registered users and change requirements for registering at this site.

    This is also a reason, why some people do not want to join topcoder. I for myself cannot understand why they do not want to give away this information, but some really don't want to.

      I don't understand, is just mentioning country a big deal enough not to join Topcoder ?? If one doesn't want to mention his/her countries name then he/she can mention any other countries in the world. I love this feature of Topcoder. Hope they implement here soon :)

    There is no reason to oblige users to enter country information. Simply they will be excluded from such ratings.

I would even more appreciate if there were problem volumes featuring all the problems of all the contests (much like timus and uva). This way I would be able to keep track of all the problems that I did not manage to solve so far and I can concentrate on them. Currently my only chance is to click through all the contest's links...

If we keep the comparison with TopCoder I would say this is a major feature TopCoder does not support as far as I know.
