How is the brightness calculated for the pyramid? I understand the calculation for all the rooms. But room (5, 2) is not clear. Also in the explanation of test case 3, how the brightness of room (3, 2) is 3? Here is the problem link : Round #822 B.

The brightness is calculated using torches. There are of course more than 3 squares from where you can reach (5, 2) but only 3 of them have torches so the brightness is 3.

Can you kindly explain (5,2). Brightness given for room (5, 2) is 4. But my calculation says 3.

If you want to reach (5,2) there are 4 torches with which you can go there.

You can go on (5,2) with:-

      (1,1) (2,1) (3,2) (4,1)

      So the answer is 4
