Hello Guys!

I think everyone who is on this site in one way or another likes to solve problems! So I would like to offer you a little competition :)

All you need is just to:

  1. Write your goal you would like to achieve before new year, current rating and the number of solved problems.

  2. Solve many different interesting tasks and raise your rating in the rounds until the new year!

  3. In the new year, I will write all the progress of each of the users who participate in a new post, and we can start the new year with new ideas!

      After only 4 contests the hidden actual rating score is 200 points higher than the display rating score. So it's already expert level (even assuming that this person wasn't holding back on purpose before posting this blog). A talented beginner surely can't be totally ruled out, but I think that a smurf is much more likely. Weaker division contests are infested by many smurfs.

          What's so special about your account? You haven't touched the expert rating range yet. That's surely a good start for a genuine beginner, but not amazingly impressive. Also it's impossible to verify your claim that you had no experience with CP before. Maybe it's true, or maybe it's not, it doesn't really matter.

          The topic starter admitted that he indeed created a new account, so there goes your "lmao". His performance in the first 4 contests was above the expert level, but then it went downhill. Either he was just initially lucky (there's a good reason why 6 contests are needed to converge the rating). Or high expectations and mental pressure got him starting from the fifth contest onward. I kinda jinxed him and I feel sorry for this. Still I believe that it's not a good idea to be concerned about the account rating history and do a fresh new restart whenever it doesn't look pretty anymore.

    I created this account, because my real account was created 4 years ago not.derwes.at.all and after hundreds of tasks I can't write rounds normal as usual(mentally). So now this is my main acc. I can prove my second acc if you want. Right now rating on this account is very similar to my main, so I'm not gonna outperform without hard work :) to be honest for this competition I will mark my start rating as 1649.

    What are you talking about? There are a fair number of people who didn't have experience in cp before but grow quickly, although they do need to know how to think. I started with blue after receiving all hidden ratings, and became purple after I got comfortable with segment trees. I'm also pretty sure that most of my old friends not from OI background would be able to do similarly.

I wanna get to blue, make it through the selection contest of my Province (only 6 people are chosen) and probably get the Honorable mention prize in VOI (top 50% in Vietnamese Olympiad of Informatics contest). I mean, that might not seems impressive to some of you, but I'm a 10th grader, not to mention I've only been in CP since July, and VOI is for 12th graders. So yeah, hopefully, I would be able to grind for it and not going clinically insane in the process :D

I've solved around 360 problems so far and my current rank is expert (rating 1676). My goal is to reach CM by the end of this year as well as learning about flows. 2 months is kinda hard to improve your rating by more than 200 but I will keep grinding! Good luck to me and everyone!!

I have current rating 1471, I want to cross 1700 before new year. Currently I have solved a little under 700 problems.

My weakness that I want to eradicate -
- A little too complex thinking (I solve some problems with extreme complication while other participants have a smarter , subtle approach)
- still scared of Tabular DP, don't have competitive experience in DP, following USACO guide to help with this.

My goal is to reach a 2300 rating and solve 164 additional problems. As of writing this message, my rating is 2037 and I have solved 526 problems. To make things more interesting, only problems with rating at least 2300 count.

  • increase mean-time-between-misread-problems to... 2 whole contests?
  • (finally) address multidimensional elephant in python (whether via crab, array, bail2cpp)

Wanted to target Expert but that would be Over expecting So, I will attempt atleast 100 contest including virtual ones Div 2 only yesterday and today i gave one each so it will be 98 more Solving may be around 4-7 problems a day will be my target A-2 B-2 C-2 and D-2 Lets see what rating i can achieve by doing this
