This is my second id , I have reached 1600 from my original id , but I cannot solve div2 D's consistently , that's why I keep getting back to specialist. What should I do , how should I practice? I can solve upto 1800 problems(though it takes times sometimes) ,currently I am practicing 1900 rated problems. Should I keep solving 1900 rated problems or do something else like practice topic-wise or something. Please tell me something that has worked for you.

There's nothing particular about div2d, if you feel you are inconsistent, try doing the sort of problems you do bad on. Maybe you do bad when it's an adhoc or when it's dp or maybe when it's too hard for what youre accostumed (maybe youre getting a 2000 rated div2d and you are confortable with solving up to 1800). In that case, practice what you aknowledge are your weak points until you get better at them.

I think you probably need to solve much higher than 1900 and also learn more algorithms. Although idk, cause I have an habit of only solving A-C in-contest and upsolving D and E and realizing how dumb I was in-contest. Also I don’t solve much higher than my rating either(only 3% of my solved are above 2000).

In my opinion, solving A+B+C fast is key here, possibly complete them within 1 hour in a 2 hour contest. D usually need more thinking and time management is key here, to even solve it you need to allocate sufficient time in the contest to approach the problem.

Difficulties of problem D can also depend on how much in general contestants struggle with problems A to C, so maybe even practicing many div2Ds may help in your case
