For example, in most Asian countries, most of the contest time starts at 22:35 in the evening, which does not end until 0:50 in the morning, which is very challenging for participants who have to go to work and school the next day, which will affect the work and study of the next day, and at the same time, because the contest time is too late in the brain biology and affects the performance, it is not fair to the participants in these time zones.

Either you can extend the time frame of the contest to more than 1 day like USACO, and the start time can be set by yourself, or let the participants choose several start times freely, or if not, you can also distribute the same div level contest in a month to different start times as evenly as possible.

In addition, for those who are going to school and working, we also hope that CF will schedule more contest on Saturdays or Sundays.

Of course, increasing the start time of a contest may increase cheating, but this is another matter, and CF needs to detect cheating, combat cheating, and improve the fairness and global friendliness of the contest.

CF is a very good platform to compete, and I hope CF will get better and better.

To ensure contests aren't leaked / distributed / easily cheesable using alts, having a day long contest or letting you choose a time probably wouldn't work. It is sad that they have never really experimented with rotating start times, though.

  1. It's impossible and unreasonable to let participants set their contest time themselves. Detecting cheating is impossible in that case: I can simply ask for the solution ideas for every problem and solve problems very fast, and you can't prove that I cheated.
  2. I agree that the start time is pretty unfavorable. I think 16:35 would be better. (Moscow time)

Why do you think that CF must take care? There are other platforms with different schedules so that everyone can choose the most convenient one.

Huh? No one says that CF must take care of all users, this is just a suggestion. If every time a platform has inconveniences and no one offers suggestions to discuss solutions, but instead seeks other platforms that meet their own requirements, the platform will not continue to improve. Advice is the living water of progress

Contests here start at 23:35 usually, and they end at 01:35 or later...

...and I like it.

22:35 is not too unacceptable for East Asian users. There are only 48 active users from Australia, and only 4 div1 users, because contest time is 01:35 for them.

it is not fair to the participants in these time zones.

It's really not that serious. Personally I just take a nap before contests and it's perfectly fine.

Btw there are still lots of LGMs in Asia.

You can try to move to other time zones with better starting times.

Chinese contestants be like:

0:35 Contest over. "It's time to sleep."

Reality: discuss in groups, announcement and streams — debug unfinished solution, waiting for system test finish to upsolve — another WA2 — throw into bed unsettled — wake up after 10
