Can anyone tell what should be the optimal order to solve Div 2 contests, in recent codeforces round I manage to solve till question C and sometime D as well but whenever I reached problem C, 5k to 9K solution already submitted on the contest and I never get 1000+ points on problem C, cheating may be the reason behind it but is there any ordering I should follow while giving contest to get maximum points.
In my opinion everyone below 2100 should just solve in lexicographical order.
A,then B(if it exists),then C(if it exists),then D(if it exists),then E(if it exists),then F(if it exists),then G(if it exists),then H(if it exists),then I(if it exists),then J(if it exists),then K(if it exists),then L(if it exists),then M(if it exists),then N(if it exists),then O(if it exists),then P(if it exists),then Q(if it exists),then R(if it exists),then S(if it exists),then T(if it exists),then U(if it exists),then V(if it exists),then W(if it exists),then X(if it exists),then Y(if it exists),then Z(if it exists). Hopefully, no problem exists after Z because then even i dont know the order oh nooooooooo. 123gjweq2 might help after that.
Stop. Did cheaters ever prevent you from solving? Get better. Or keep whining and waiting for the never-existing genie to help.
Tactical expertise for solving order is usually irrelevant in Div2. Code faster. Having 9k+ people solving C before you means C was too easy and you probably solved it in around 90th minute, which is too slow.
Most of the cheater solved till problem C and D it becomes hard for people below 1600 to get on top you can try it, give the upcoming contest and you will agree with me
Be faster than them. I miss the part where it's my problems.
Or even better, be able to solve harder problems that are not leaked by cheaters.
I believe this is already the superset of what I aimed for. There's no way one is capable of solving hard but chokes in coding so badly they do worse at easier problems.
Most of the time, I can solve A~D or A~C. Sometimes E can be solved. In rare cases, I skip C to solve D.
If you truly believe that order is important, review the questions and evaluate their difficulty for you. Then do the questions in increasing order of difficulty.
Hoping This Helps.
Upd: Anyway, I don't think cheaters are an excuse.
okay I got it I should work on my speed as well thankyou :)
