Rampant cheating on codeforces :(

Hey MikeMirzayanov, you have created an awesome platform helpful for both newbie and advanced coders. But some people are playing foul game for high ratings. I know the plagiarism detector cannot be 100% accurate but it can be improved to detect some of the "similar" codes. For example I found two users who are constantly cheating in each contest. These users are kunnu96 and ace_pocket .

I can go on but i think i have made my point. And the craziest part is how these people take out time to change code in a 2 hour contest. How to discourage the fraud is upto you. P.S. There are lot more people than these two and I will write about them too. Until then happy coding :)

Yes this happens but nothing much can be done about it. But you can reduce the cheating to some extent. One thing is about people using Ideone public. Another is say no to cheating yourself. I close my Facebook tab while I am on a contest now. Many times I myself feel amazed at looking at so many submissions that pass Pretest.
But the punishment of being caught cheating should pe more severe to curb this event.

Hey who are you? Have some guts to come with your true ID and then talk to me in public or in private whichever way you like. I actually don't have much time for all these dirty stuffs. I even don't care. But for you I have one thing which will help you to learn something. PS : Please have a look over it so that you don't able to continue with your easy job i.e spamming and defaming others. And please for God sake don't spam me again :(

      Can't you see that he just created fake account few hours back to write rubbish about me and I m pretty sure he is one of my batch mate who is thinking by doing such things he can demotivate me, deviate me etc etc so that I will be affected by these things as he simply feels I m better than him and would be a treat at the time of placements for him. Ask him to come in open if he can.

            I won't threaten. I will present my case in a humble manner. I won't shout injustice and scream foul, because if there are grounds for suspicion against me, it is my duty to give an explanation, and if not, then I'll shut up.

            And I challenge you to accuse me of cheating :) Good luck with that. If I don't cheat you can't accuse. Similarly, if you didn't cheat he wouldn't have accused. He collected proof and waited till he was convinced. You really don't have much of a defense here. Only thing left for you to do is present a real explanation. Otherwise, codeforces rules are clear. Your account will be terminated.

              These references didn't prove anything. May be I use some templates which are prewritten that doesn't mean cheating. At last Sorry if you feel I talked you harshly and I apologize for my childish behavior and writing unnecessarily and acting towards it. Now no more comments from my side. This world is full of critics and they will continue the same because they themselves couldn't do anything. That's all.

I have a strong feeling that these are not different people sharing code but rather a case of a single person maintaining two ID's for vested interests. The ID's have the same surname too .

      That explains the whole scenario then. Brothers co-operating in coding. They are mindful not to just copy paste, but slightly changing codes before submitting.

I don't know why people do these kind of things. What did they get. Fine, your rating will increase then what. Your coding skills will remain the same ( ur cheating skills may increase ). The whole community should condemn these kind of things and Mike should take strict actions against both of them. "he can not demotivate me" dude you are demotivating all of us. The concept of rating system is to motivate a user to perform well in a contest or otherwise it would not have been the great coding community it is. And finally stop being such an arrogant fella and give explanation for the code. I don't know how you got in an IIT...did you cheated their too.
