Help with problem SAMER08D — DNA Sequences

I am trying to solve SAMER08D — DNA Sequences . I know how to solve LCS but can't figure out how to think of states in this problem. I tried reading approaches for the solution of this problem on google but I only got codes. However, that didn't help as I did not get a feel what code was trying to do. Can you please help me with this ?

Is there something I am doing wrong? Every time I ask some question I get downvoted. What guidelines did I not follow? If someone could please tell me how to ask a question properly?

    Asking the doubt is nothing wrong and perfectly all right. Haters gonna hate. I would reply to your question if I am able to solve the question.
    The only thing needed from your side I think is not to repeat the same question. Like 1128 gave the link. The solution is described there perfectly. You need to go through it many times and ask what you did not get instead of a comment like "Anyone?" which gives an overview to the blog that its somewhat vague and what you are asking different from that link is not clear.
    The other thing you can do is first find the solution/explanation online. Most replies you would see is people finding those links for u and hence down-votes. Use google search effectively before posting the doubt. Happy problem solving and improving your coding skills :).
