Virtual Participate in Live Contest

It would be great if CF could allow virtual participation in Live Contests. If user isn't in a mood of giving the whole contest or doesn't want his/her rating to be affected, it will be nice for them. It will also decrease the number of secondary accounts people maintain for giving contests for practice.

I think virtual after contest is fine for me
Contest is like exam
I will participate when i can get +100
So that no need for live virtual

    At least for me, motivation for participation in virtual contest decreases once the contest is over.

I remember the good days when educational rounds were unrated and people would hack themselves...

Now educational rounds are blatant bootcamp ads which coincidentally serve as contests. How can we solve this issue? Virtual Participate!

    I agree that there should be option for virtual participation. However, it may be harmful unless studied carefully. This may include surveys on the reasons of virtual participation and the result of this on Codeforces community. You can't just put it right away.
