Wouldn't it be good if we have a Report Option to directly report plagiarized codes without having to create new blog/ comment on old blogs?

Many users nowadays are creating new accounts to report them through blogs. This can be avoided if we have a way to anonymously report cheaters without having to create blogs.

I think this feature will be helpful as some people who cheat are able to bypass MOSS undetected by using various methods. So if we ever come across such codes we can directly report them for checking.

MikeMirzayanov , please consider this.

So you Reported somebody for plagiarism. Now what? MOSS will not detect it anyway and Manually reviewing codes is near to impossible. IMO The problem remains the same.

Even if it is impossible to manually review a lot of codes at least some people might get caught for cheating. It might be a little step towards making things better.

Maybe we can again filter the reported codes by Runtime, Memory Used, time of submission and other factors to decrease the false positives and then manually check?

I get your point, no one from Codeforces HQ has time to sit and compare 100s of codes with each other, but something must be done regarding this. But I can't think of any optimal approach to this.

      Agreed.

I have seen people creating new accounts just to report cheating. It will reduce that for sure. Also, I think Codeforces should add a rating drop to both parties just like CodeChef in case of a + plagiarism case. (Currently, there isn't any I guess)

My first two contests I used Ideone without an account, meaning my code was public, because I couldn't imagine anyone actually cares enough to sift through a list of public codes in hopes of finding a solution to an ongoing contest. I quickly realized I was wrong about that. However, I would very much not like not have a permanent ip ban because I was just starting and didn't know better, and I'm sure something similar happens to many people, so I think this is an awful solution.

I could agree with something more along this lines, I still think permanent is bad, but maybe a month ban after every 3 warnings or similar.
