Ratings...I wont comment .But I am amazed by your consistency of problem solving.

You have 51.5% WA Submissions. Average attempts to solve a problem is 3.07. Solved with one submission is 41.11%.

So ig, you should give more time to the problems, to think about it and building a better approach rather than rushing to submit or checking editorials(if you do). I'm not so pro, bt this what I think.

Actually, you are doing very good in div2 because you are able to solve at least 3 questions....only solving those 3 question fast without making any silly mistakes can help you reach expert easy peasy. :)

Edit:- Haters do your coding. Don't waste your time downvoting my comments xD

You have done a lot of 1300+ rating questions so i think your knowledge is good enough for being at around 1400+ rating on CF. You should work on your speed and accuracy of initial questions. Maybe try that you do the initial 2 questions fast and with accuracy in div 2 and div3. This gives you lot of time to think about the tough questions. I have not done as many contests as you but i have observed that if you are able to do 1500 or below rating questions that is good enough to get a good rank. Try giving virtual contests to improve maybe. I am also new here so i cant say if what i said is 100%correct but thats just my opinion. Good Luck for your future contests.

I have been an 'expert' for about four years, and it seems there is still no sign from my rating graph that I am moving forward. I felt upset about this, but I came to realize that whenever I thought I had done enough, I met new algorithms and amazing techniques which are beyond my imaginations. Maybe, I am still an 'expert' because I am really not good enough for being a CM.

So, on one hand keep practicing, and on the other hand, keep paticient. I believe you will improve when it is the 'time'. If you would like to discuss problems or algorithms, welcome (I am doing virtual participation right now) :D

Well, I keep doing virtual contests from round 1, and right now, I have completed about 200 rounds. You will always meet new problems and algorithms when you start a new round. If you could try your best to 'truly' solve these porblems, I think you will definitely get improved. Perhaps, you could try this out as well.

  1. Go to problem set
  2. Hide tags for unsolved problems
  3. Search by rating = 1400
  4. Pick an unsolved problem from the list and try to solve it in a hour or less.
  5. If you couldn't solve it, read the editorial and determine what can you learn to reach a correct solution the next time.
  6. Repeat from step 4.

Hope it helps. It worked for me for reaching expert (with 1600-rated problems), and I'm using this method for reaching Candidate Master (with 1700-1900-rated problems).

Just a suggestion, give more virtual contests.

Currently you are moving up and reached your peak rating just after the last contest. This doesn't look like "getting stucked" ;-)

Virtual Contest will be waste if some topic that you have not covered and asked in contest or the problem which are beyond your league right now :).

I will Suggest-

1) Best way to practice in more efficient way is to create mashups contest at gym of +200 rated porblem from your current rating chose 3 problems 90 min timespan. It will increases you speed plus you not going waste more than 30 min on thinking about single problem.

2) Don't Try or practice from too old codeforces round just past two Year problems are enough to take rating to the sky level if you practing in this manner.

3) Some Tip's

Try to use some add on Chrome Extension of Codeforces to Hide Problem Tage and ratings and many more extension you will find in cf blogs.

Also Write Comment's to code that what you have done while upsolving problems it will give you feel from heart what you have done in this problem for example you can check my submessions whenever i'm practicing Graph Dp problem i tell myself what i'm doing through writing comments.

Learning new topics 1st try to solve all basic standard problems i.e CSES Problem set

These are thing right now i'm doing and confident to be atleast Expert at the end of this year.

And at last sorry for some typo and my bad english i'm not DPS Student : (

I've found with many things, progress appears in bursts and spurts. I can see on your rating graph that you just hit a new record high rating. Perhaps you've just made a breakthrough and in subsequent contests, your rating will continue to increase. Definitely practice on harder problems and follow other advice people have given here, but who knows, noticeable improvement may be just around the corner.

Don't worry about ratings, just keep learning and practicing and eventually you'll do very good in some upcoming contest, I was stuck as a newbie for quite a while and then suddenly in a matter of few days became specialist. It can happen to you too in any random contest. Just keep working.

I'd suggest you to look at how those at the top of the leaderboard did the same problem which you did. This provides a better insight to something which you already know. Try to solve at least one more problem after the contest which you couldn't solve during it. Also try to read all problems during the contest(Maybe you can do a "harder" problem if it is to your liking)

I am also in somewhat same situation as you are in. I would like to advice you some things which I think I am also lacking and trying to improve. If you find them useful you can surely try them out :).

1)Don't rush to submit problems, wait for a while and think about corner test cases.

2)Don't touch your keyboard unless you have pseudo code ready with you on paper/notepad.This way you go through your solution twice and are more likely to encounter a typo or off by 1 error.

3)While practicing problems don't look at test cases if you get a WA.Try to make test cases yourself.

4)Lastly if you are in a contest and suppose you are stuck on B problem don't waste your time on B.Just move onto next problem after 30-40 minutes and come back to B after sometime.

I am hoping to become expert in 2-3 months hope to see you blue too then. Good Luck!.
