Hi Codeforces!
I just tried to log in to my account, madlogic, for Codeforces Round #825 (Div. 2) and I noticed that I no longer have access to the account. I am unable to update the password because the hacker altered both the old email and password.
I last logged into the account yesterday to train with my teammates (Wesam and M4mou), and I have screenshots of contest invites and the most recent login attempts to my account.
Here is a screenshot, of some of the contest invitations I received.
Please, help MikeMirzayanov, geranazavr555, or anyone at the Headquarters :sob:.

Additionally, I think it would be nice to send an email confirmation before someone changes an account's email or password in the future.
EDIT: The account is currently online, but I am not the person using it. I still don't have access to the account :(
UPD: I got a pm from MikeMirzayanov but I think he has forgotten :sadge:
FINAL UPD: I now have access to my account, the hacker changed the email address back to the previous email. Thanks everyone.

Bro You can just press forget password ,write your handle or account that you entered with the handle and a email massege will be sent and just press in it and change the password .
SO YOU CAN GET BACK TO YOUR ACCOUNT and hope your account be back 💓.
The email was changed by the hacker, so when I use the forgot password the mail is sent to their email address.

Perfect, it is not personal, but there were others who are trading on markets and using data of people just like you to do sometimes illegal things, we are sweeping.
What type of data can a person get from a CF account that will be useful in the real world?
I'm pretty sure that the comment above has little to do with your situation. Alex7 wrote a ton of meaningless comments yesterday.
To avoid such hacks, my opinion would be to add a feature if user wants to change email.
If the user wants to change email, he/she needs to provide an acknowledgement code which would be sent to old email id, if the ack code is correct, then the user should be authorized for email change. Pretty much like OTP.
Do you have any idea how did this even happen? Where did you give your password?
It would be good if you answer because that way others will learn what they shouldn't do too.
