Hi, I just started giving contest although I had been practicing for about 4-5 months. My problem is whenever I give a contest the timer increases the pressure on me and I tend to make mistakes in problem that I can easily solve in practice mode. Someone suggested me that I should take virtual contest on daily basis to get rid of time pressure but this doesn't just feel right to me. What do you suggest I should do?

Virtual is really the only solution.

Also don't forget that you are here in codeforces to have fun!

No one is running after you, take your time and enjoy your moments, and I believe that by the time your performance will increase, don't forget that practice makes perfect.

It's simple. Just do more live contests. Doing virtuals can be useful when there are no live contests, but definitely don't force yourself to do something you don't want to do. The best way to learn to deal with the pressure of a live contest is by doing a lot of live contests.

(this is my alt I got blocked on my main)

This problem is extremely amplified in my case. I can solve a reasonable number of 1900+ rated problems but in contest I'm unable to solve Div2B. The pressure I feel during contests is horrible and I sometimes feel like it only increases with the amount of contests I do (I get depressed I can't perform well and I freeze up in contests more, the cycle repeats)

    :(
