I am suffering from inconsistency in problem solving, many a times after so many days i get to remember that I have to solve questions on Codeforces.

From now on, I will do atleast one question everyday till new year. Lets see how much I can improve my rating in this much time.

no need to torture yourself like that. Give yourself a break if you're tired or don't want to solve problems.

1 problem a day is not a torture, it's quite a reasonable training schedule

Yes, you can do it. If you want to follow a disciplined path, sometimes you need timetables to maintain discipline. However, try it for one or two weeks, because competitive programming is not about solving problems when you force yourself to, but rather when you feel the urge to solve them. Think of competitive programming as a passion, not something you must do at any cost. For a smooth start, it's good to push yourself to solve problems, but in the long run, you need passion to sustain it. I hope this helps.
