Internet is behind proxy. I always enjoyed solving problems in cf.

But recently I discovered proxy is now blocking codeforces. It is under category "Online communities". How can I workaround this problem?

You can use a circumvention software such as Psiphon. You can also bypass the filters with proxy sites like this.

Be careful with proxies: Codeforces doesn't support HTTPS so proxies can see your password and/or modify pages served to you (e.g. inject malicious JavaScript). I would suggest getting a VPN, maybe it's not blocked. Another option is to set up a proxy server at home and connect to it from work.

Even in that case Psiphon is reliable. It is open source and can be trusted.

I don't think open source means security since the servers can access information transmitted via HTTP and they aren't under your control.

They mean security because it can be easily checked with proper knowledge what servers are doing as the code is made available. They can't trap information unless they are programmed to do which can be verified.

Sorry but I still can't see the relationship between them. In my perspective, if the server administrators are evil, it's easy to modify the open source program and record the traffic. If they are not interested in users' data, even keeping the source code secret can't harm the security.

Since the users have no way to know what servers are running, the majority of security depends on the server administrators, rather than the server software.

Can you explain to whoever blocking CF what it is (maybe use words like "programming community", "discuss about algorithms"...). I think with good enough reason they can unblock the site.

Why are you doing CF at work in the first place?

When you are at work, enjoy your work, not CF.

Help! My company switched to use F-Secure. Actually codeforces.com is blocked as "adult content". Is there a way to workarround this?

I can access the API (by using cftool), but cannot access codeforces.com in a browser.
