New on Codeforces: Enter with Facebook

Hello everyone!

It looks like there are a lot of Facebook users on Codeforces. But they could not easily authorize with their Facebook account until now. Well, now they can!

You can connect your Codeforces account with your Facebook account on profile settings page:

Just click the connect/update button, allow Codeforces to have access and save settings.

Besides that method, you can also connect your accounts while authorizing — if your Facebook account is not yet connected, you will be asked to either create a new account or to connect it with existing one.

To connect with an existing account you will need to log in using already known method.

    I personally don't. I only see your e-mail address and other "basic" stuff.

    Seems it is just a simple way to login. But I think if Facebook account is visible, it will be pretty cool to make new friends.(some of users maybe receive tons of friend requests though)

    Now this feature is added in Code-forces. anyone can see other member's Facebook account.

Isn't this feature not supposed to reveal our Facebook accounts to others? When I checked my friends' profile just now, I found that their Facebook accounts are shown. I checked on some random guys as well and their Facebook accounts are visible too.

I remember that the Facebook accounts were not shown on our profile when this great function just released.

Is it a bug or a feature? If it is a feature, is there any way for me to disable this? (The box Hide contact information on my settings has already enabled.)

Apologies for necroposting, I feel this might be of concern here.

Was this method disabled? I don't seem to find this option anywhere, and yet in settings it is mentioned "Remember me by Gmail, Facebook and etc"
