Shouting while doing contests often helps me get the main hero's luck. After the scoreboard is frozen, I usually have a sudden flashback of my friends since the start of my competitive programming path. And this flashback gives me hope and courage for attempting and acc-ing the hardest bugaboo on the contest.

Some say anime is childish but they don't realize the hard-work put by those writers, the animation, the vibe and so many stuff. People don't realize the story and emotions are so deep that it is indeed difficult to express those stuff by actors.

Definitely. If you take a look at my rating graph and the frequency of problems solved grid, I had a spike in rating when I was solving the least number of problems a day but watching a ton of anime. Right now I am doing more problems, but my rating is dropping because I think I haven't been watching enough anime.

Anime makes you disconnected from the reality and feeds off of your positivity.
Exceptions are always there, but most of people you see online are full of shit and think its cool to be rude to others just because of their favourite character or whatever!
Not only that, it makes fake and stupid beauty measures and the worst part is that because of internet, 12-13 year olds are bein affected because of it. If you dont believe me, search for stuff like Post Anime Depression Syndrome or kids getting plastic surgeries to look more like anime character.
Internet is spreading anime addiction like wildfire and the 12-13 year olds are being the victims who will continue being depressed their whole youth(given they gain some sense as they grow old and stop watching it).
I personally think that this is becoming a serious issue, and needs to be controlled in some way like pornography so that little kids who don't know what's right or wrong don't fall into this pit hole.

Few anime suggestions from me to cure your Post Anime Depression Syndrome:

    • Your Lie In April
    • Clannad
    • Anohana
    • A Silent Voice
    • I want to eat your Pancreas
    • Angel Beats
    • Steins:Gate
    • Violet Evergarden

Watch them and you won't be depressed again :)

I'm sure he will never get depressed no matter how many animes he watches. Here are few additions:
      - Grave of the Fireflies
      - 5 Centimeters Per Second
      - The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
      - The Wind Rises
      - When Marnie Was There

      Happy watching :}

I don't think Steins;Gate 0 will help. It is depressing in its own ways.

I can't stand how Okabe stays depressed in like 9/10 episodes himself AND the way Mayurii is treated in the entire season is dreadful. She is the perfect waifu material in debut and in next season she's been levelled up for fanservice(...) and treated like shit.. Steins;Gate was decent tho.

Anime makes you disconnected from the reality and feeds off of your positivity.

You could literally replace anime with any media here because nothing of entertainment represent reality (because reality is often boring). And feeds off your positivity? how? a bad influence on 12-13 yo? how? What about American TV shows that show highschool kids doing drugs or being called losers for being virgins?

Also the extreme stuff you mentioned like "plastic surgeries to look like someone" exists there in every community. Anime is literally just another mode of entertainment. If you don't like it don't watch it.

"because reality is often boring" , Let me clear it for you on that, you are boring, and don't want to acknowledge that so you choose to live in a world where you think everything is how you think it is, a typical nerdy trait. Good for you.
And your argument that just because there are other means of disconnecting from reality so it's okay to do it is hilarious and dumb.

Not only that, it makes fake and stupid beauty measures

So beautiful characters are bad because they are beautiful? Because they might offend ugly people? That's a rather perverse way of seeing things.

Anime earnestly tries to achieve actual aesthetical value as opposed to, say, hollywood which is interested only in pushing subversive propaganda and making a profit with cheap tricks.

'Post Anime Depression Syndrome' sounds like something a psychiatrist/psychologist would come up with. You know, the kind of people who drugs children because they annoy their teachers/parents.

If anything anime is one of the most wholesome entertainment form there is for young people. Which is quite valuable considering how much of a cesspool of degeneracy the western media is. Completely cutting off children from all media isn't a good idea either in my opinion as this might leave them stunted or bored enough to do drugs and so on.

    Sorry for the bad English.

I've been fluctuating between blue and purple lately. While I really want to have Gojo Satoru as my profile picture, it doesn't quite feel right while I'm blue. I guess this is motivation to become purple. My future profile picture list:

Yellow — Kyojuro Rengoku

Red — I will not reveal my waifu to anyone

Tatakae.

If you like the Mind Game genre you should watch Kaiji. It's a gamblimg anime like Kakegurui but much better in my opinion.

One Outs and the manga Liar Game are also excellent.
