I reached pupil after 34 contests ..
One possible explanation is that you apparently have no courage to write this blog post from your main account. Fear is inhibiting your progress. Also solving 500 problems and taking part in only 5 or 12 contests doesn't seem normal. Both you and your friend seem to be afraid of participating in ranked contests.
500 problems is a lot, and 12 contests during 500 problems is very strange.
